Artist Biography

Greg Bedford is a multi-talented artist who expresses himself through painting, acting, and restoring automobiles. His wide sphere of life experiences foster his creativity and design, all of which become major elements to his abstract paintings. His passion for restorative art began as a 17 year-old, beautifying his Volkswagen Bus in the 1970's. The ability to take a damaged vehicle and transform it into something to be admired as a work of art was incredibly awe-inspiring to the young artist. Greg does not see this work a s mere functional process, but rather one of sculpture that injects new life into a once discarded relic.

Greg began abstract collage painting several years ago during his breaks from acting. This provides Greg with another outlet to release his creative energy as well as experience alternative methods for his creative process. For over 25 years, Greg has been performing as a stand-up comedian, acting in local theater, and on film. However, the artist recently admits to "painting more than acting and he commonly paints several days a week. The "peace and relaxation" Greg derives from painting is un-like any other aspect to the artist's life.
